Hi all,

I need a desperate answer to something that is reallllllly annoying me for the past 4 1/2 months. Sometimes when I am at work I notice my left ear getting reallly hot and the back of my neck getting warm. As I start to slow things down and relax, the heat goes away. Can anyone relate to this? Is this what they call a hotflash or is it something else. I try to place a search on Google but can't really find anything on warm ears. Is this related to stress/anxiety or something else. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Armond

It sounds like it could be anxiety related. I know that I get red, but it starts on my chest and moves upwards through my face to my ears. Some others have posted about it under lesson 1, blushing and red face.

However, it couldn't hurt to have a little checkup just in case.

I'm the king of wierd body symptoms here...one thing I've found helpful...if it goes away (especially when you're more relaxed or distracted) IT'S NOTHING! I was a regular on WebMD "check my symptoms" and that stuff just scares you more. If you can talk yourself out of it...then you probably talked yourself into it. Wink

Heat? Oh, yeah. Sometimes in the morning, getting ready for work, I get so hot that the perspiration messes up my makeup and I have to start over.

I've noticed that when I "plan" things that I have this happen. when I think ahead.

If the stress is more subtle, I get the numbness up the one side of the back of my neck. I used to get a numb face.

For me, I think the body symptoms just go from one to another. Since taking the course (I'm on week 4), I just tell myself "So what?". It's actually becoming kind of funny to me. It's like a wakeup call. When it happens, I ask myself what I was thinking about just beforehand.

Part of it is from denying my feelings and holding back. So I try to look at the body symptoms as cues. An entirely new way for me to treat this. It's not scary - it's helpful!
