Hello everyone I am new to the program (week ) and I am so happy to have looked on the website. What a relief to know that other people are going through this! I have been discouraged with my progress this week, the negative thoughts and anticipatory anxiety just won't seem to quit. Please tell me that these lapses back have happened to you all. Also I am dealing with hypoglycemia along with the anxiety. Has anyone else had any experience with this? It came on at the same time as the anxiety and now I wonder what came first like the chicken and the egg. Can one create the other? Anyway good luck and love to all. Hope to chat with you soon.

Hi Sarah,
Congratulations on getting to week four! I bet ya didn't pat yourself on the back for that, did ya. Well, go ahead! You deserve it. Yes, these lapses are very common. I get them still. Today hasn't been that great, but I know that doesn't mean tomorrow won't be good. You are learning alot of new stuff and it takes a lot of time to create these new positive habits. Let yourself have the anxiety, don't fight it. Just take care of yourself and put those positive thoughts in your mind. Take your time and be kind to you.
Sincerely, Reena

Dear Reena,
Thank you so much for responding to my posting. You were right I have not congratulated myself for the progress that I have made. I sometimes focus only on the negative aspects of this condition instead of seeing the positive changes that are occuring. I hope you are having a better day today. Have you finished the program? If not you must be farther than me. How have you found the later lessons? I am particularly interested in the ones on guilt and on scary obsessive thinking because I have alot of both. Have they given you any insight or good coping skills? I have been tempted to skip ahead. I won't though because I am sure they are in a particular order for a reason. Anyway thanks again for the encouragement I really needed it and I hope I can do the same for you and others when times are tough.

Hi,
Yes, I am having a better day, thank you. I know that it comes and goes. I am working my way thru the program a 2nd time. I still have a lot to learn. I am enjoying learning, tho. I did look forward to certain tapes more than others. There are great insights on all the tapes. oops, baby woke up. Have a great day!
