Hi, maybe someone has experience this, if u have, pls. shed some light, Thanks: I find it strange that when I'm on my 4th tape and feeling much better and learning to feed myself with positive self talk, suddenly, for the last 3 days I have been experiencing severe palpitations where I even feel like I'm shoking. I have experience this before the program but not as severe. In addition, during the first tape, I did not forget to write in my journal for the week, all of a sudden, I remember to write in my journal when I'm finishing the lesson in the workbook. I can't understand why if I'm supposed to be advancing in the program, I'm getting these severe palpitations & forgetfulness. The first week, I saw so much improvement. I know is not my heart and not afraid of that either, but it is so annoying plus I'm getting headaches as the palpitations get stronger. Can u shed some light, please... Thanks

Our body reacts to our mood or thoughts. It takes lots of practice to change our thoughts therefore changing our mood. It is encouraging to have success, and discouraging to have symptoms again. Your body is registering the disappointment you feel at having symptoms again. But it took you a while to develop a nervous body, and it will take you a while to undevelop it. Make sense? Recovery is a gradual process. You have lots of company in this process. Keep in touch... Tammy

Tammy, u make alot of sense. u hit the nail right on the head "DISAPPOINTMENT". After I read your note, I realized that because I'm feeling this sympton again and twice as much, I'm slacking off. I'm going back to that deppressive state again. Thanks for your reply, truly appreciated. I'll try to refocus but right now, I'm feeling really down, nausea, lack of interest, really blue. I'm confused because, I was feeling so good the 1st 3 weeks of the program, I don't know what went wrong in 3 days. The only thing I can think off that bothers me is that I've gain 20 pds. and I cannot motivate myself to exercise. I used to exercise but, after the WTC tragedy, I cannot bring myself to exercising. I was a block away from the 2nd tower and saw the 2nd plane crash into the building. I began the program 1 week after that experience and felt so much better. I couldn't believe the improvement. Suddenly in 3-4 days, I feel I have gone backwards and I'm also getting flashbacks of the tragedy. Do u think it could I may be feeling this way because the nation is under new alert for more terrorism acts this week? I thought I was learning how to handle the issue, what's wrong? Did u ever go backwards in the program instead of forward? I'm sorry, but, I cannot speak to anyone else about this new sensation and it is shocking me. Thanks so very much. Shine

I AGREE WITH TAMMY, IM ON WEEK 6 AND I AM DOING ALOT BETTER BUT IM NOT HARDLY HEALED. I STILL HAVE MY BAD DAYS,I JUST DEAL WITH THEM BETTER.WE GOT A LONG WAY TO GO BUT AT LEAST WE KNOW HOW TO HANDLE IT NOW. AND WE HAVE EACHOTHER
Our anxiety is a learned habit and habits take quite a while to change. You felt better in the beginning because you had your hope back and you had a game plan. Now is the time to stick with the game plan and practice practice practice. This is not going to change in a week or two. You will have times that your anxiety reappears. Now you know what to do with it. Take your time and please be patient with yourself. After seeing what you saw in person (was wathcing on tv and was just horrified) it will take time to deal with this. ANd remember you don't have to do this perfectly. Be your own cheerleader and best friend. You can do it. You will feel better again. Reena
PS. I take calcium for my palpitations. I can tell when I haven't had enough. The way I knew it was a calcium problem was that when I was nursing my baby she was having allergic reactions. So I went off all dairy and had the worse palpitations all day long. When I started taking 1,000 mg. of calcium they went away.

THIS MESSAGE IS FOR TAMMY Hi Tammy, I've called the number u gave me and they did not know who u were. They gave me the customer service # which ends in 9460 but I have to called them bet. 9am and 5pm and I have been in classes this week during those hours. I will try again next week. However, if you send me your e-mail address, I can communicate. My e-mail address is Shine760@aol.com. Look forward to speaking to you. Thanks P.S. The palpitations have stopped, thank God, now I have real bad sweaty palms and feet. This just began this week and guess what? I'm going on job interviews as well. So, I constantly have to run to the restroom, at the places I'm interviewing, to wash my hand with cold water and have a tissue in hand to avoid a sweaty hand shake, Oh well, I guess I have to learn to deal with all these bodily changes due to stress,
