Just wondering what everyones rituals are as far as practicing their skills. Personally I do the relaxation tape, journal, listen to the tapes, read positive books, and keep a negative thought log. I enjoy them all. Please share your practices.

hi jeremy! i have not done the relaxation tape but at the first cuz it rattles me to slow down and take the time.exercise is key to my forward thinking and feeling i'm working on things. it also is key when i get so low, as it burns off adrenalin and allows me to pop in a little program reminder that in time moves me forward once again into doing the program skills, and continue on learning more. my neg thts blog and taking it to a more realistic thought, then on to positive REALLY helps me, especially as i look back from time to time. the lesson tape, and mulling it over and applying it is great. also the "Progressing" thread has been very beneficial to my growth as it spurs me on to tackle more things for better living, and to look back and see i am really doing it. i also have an exercise buddy on here, and emailing our exercise jogs my memory to get moving for that day. and my personal blog is program oriented and i respond to it ending with a positive thought every night. also a positive penpal or two has been very helpful on this site, as it helps to move forward and not get caught feeling alone struggling-forward positive facing yet human understandings/program oriented. early on in the program the lessons were so synchronistic (sp?) with my real life happenings at that time, and was great growths. yesterday next door neighbor moving few days andwanted to tell one of my sons visiting that he "loved" me as a person and thank me...interestingly, i had to use my assertive skills and boundaries and extract my money out of them a few months ago using strong application of assertive skills=RESPECT!..after some trickery on her part and tough acting. so WOW! same goes for other neighbors here where i moved last year after husband died..and=RESPECT given me after i "brought down the velvet hammer" using my program skills. My lifelong nice guy-quilts are going away, replaced with healthy boundaries, and knowing where my responsibilities end. same with my beloved adult children=again RESPECT and it feels right and normal like it should.as a momma, maybe other moms can understand how hard it is to say no because of our tenderness and desire to help. this program is very beneficial in so many ways. i probably carried on way too much jeremy, but thanks for letting me yak on this. good wishes to all. P.S. there is one more thing thats greatly helped me= when i speak to someone on forum post, i blog it to myself-learning to speak as compassionately and helpfully to my own self. you see, i could always do this to OTHERS, but need to learn to do it to MYself now. P.P.S. oone more thing, i have learned things from others posting on forums..three people in particular have helped me immensely when they posted to others. the depth of what i took to myself is tremendous growth and comfort. thankyou Grateful for your mature kind, respectfully "held back" posts on hot topics.Craw for courage to post sensibly and assertively and i see kindness and humor that can make me laugh out loud on some of her posts-just tickles me way you say some things. Grateful also on "some churches you may believe everything they teach-but don't feel comfortable there/whereas another church may not teach everthing you believe, but you feel good there"=it was a healing for me. and Schauzermom, you have positively helped me to grow with your emotional energy explaining things with personal experience of tidbits to all=it was the emotional energy you just keep giving with further explanations that has helped me pull from myself but i have still a ways to go as i had gotten fried emotionally giving too much in the PAST. i am healing and progressing because of your posts to others, and thankyou guys very much.

Hi Jeremy - This may sound crazy but it works for me!! When I'm in the shower in the morning I go through the ABCs and put a positive word with each letter - I also do a little dance. Today's going to be an awesome day, today's going to be a beautiful day, today's going to be a courageous day, etc. Hopefully no one sneaks in on me!!!

Thats a great idea with the ABC'S lil123! my daily routine is upon awakening I dress for the Gym, and get moving, on the way to the Gym I have my morning Conversation With God and try to give him all the things that I am anxious and fearful about and thank him for a new day, I too keep a daily journal, and listen to the lesson I am currently on, and if I dont fall asleep first I try to listen to the relaxation tape at night.
