Hey all,
How's everyone doing? I hope good! I'm not sure if my post fits in this category but i think it comes pretty close. I guess around this time, everything is a little crazy and stressful, With Christmas season and for me, finals. Definitely studying a lot and feeling the anxious symptoms build up a little more. See, this is my second time going through the program, and this time i really want to take my time so i can see results. But, with studying and the added pressure of doing the program and other personal things, i feel like there is not enough time in the day! But then i asked myself a question. If someone who you knew was really sweet and caring, and you know who was giving it her all, what would you say to them? And that made me think. I mean, yeah, maybe I made some rules to myself that i "Should' do this and that at this specific time or else i won't succeed, but then again what is the rush? I think, if i give myself a break and take it slow, I'm actually starting to change in a way. I'm doing something i don't usually do, giving myself a break. The next few days will be hectic with finals, but what's a few days to do? I'm usually focused so I will just get back in the swing of things when things calm down, and they will. What do u guys think about this? |

hi noelle,
Wow, sounds like you've answered your own question and very well at that!!! Yes, give it a break, just work on your studying for finals and maybe just listen to the relaxation tape if you get a chance this week. Please, don't let working on this program be a "pressure to do it" thing. Allow it to be a growth experience and a continual comfort for you. Turn that thinking around from a "should" to a "want to" and actually enjoy the process. Things will calm down for you and soon. You know this already and that's a comfort in itself, right? Give yourself a hug! Hugs to you and peace and confidence with your studying and exams. God bless!!! |

Noelle, I feel very similar to you. I have finals starting tomorrow and it's making me a little more anxious than usual. But we just have to accept that we're not perfect and whatever happens will happen and being anxious and worrying isn't going to help us.
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. |

Hi everyone. Noelle just like you I'm going through the program the second time. And having finals this week has also added lots of stress. But what I found that helps me is that I repeatedly tell myself that I tried and that trying isn't failing. That phrase seems to help. I also agree with Brian. I like that quote "Today is the first day of the rest of your life." Good luck , take care
