Hi,
Started Session #4 today and I had a difficult time with listing shoulds and expectations. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks. Georgie |

I started session 4 today and I had the same problem. I plan on trying to catch myself doing these things during this week. We ouhgt to keep in touch since we're at the same point of the program. Troy |

I think it can be challenging to know about expectations and "shoulds". I try to pay attention to what I am saying. "I should..."; I also listen for when I say things like "he/she/they should..."
You may find it helpful to take some deep breaths or listen to the relaxation tape before you work on the exercises. I actually saw a counselor to help me with mine. I also try to evaluate feelings. Sometimes when I feel guilty about doing or not doing something, it is because I had expectations that were too high. Does everything really have to be done NOW? |
