I am on medication that keeps me operating fairly normal. I am finding it hard to do the lessons when my symptoms are not real bad. Does anyone elas have this problem and should there be something else I should be doing? Thanks for the info.....lindajean.
Lindajean, I have had the program for a little over a week now and today is the first time that I have had that feeling. I had a really good day despite the gloomy weather here. I hadn't thought about it until reading your post but I could see that being a problem for me as well. When I am working on the program I am dwelling on all of my symptoms and feelings (which happen to be really negative most of the time), when I am feeling good (like tonight) I'm not sure if I want to focus on all of those problems. This is a really good topic!! I will be looking forward to some replies from people who have been in the program for longer. Thanks for the good thinking! Have a great weekend! ~Flutterby

This is exactly what happened to me. I ordered the program, listened to the tapes, and instead of it taking 15 weeks to complete it, it took me a year because if I felt better I would quit. Then I would start to feel bad again, and bring it out, and on and on it went. Needless to say, I ended up in a very stressful situation this summer and plummeted into this anxiety and depression thing because I did not have the skills "ingrained" in me. I did enough to get me by, but when the hard times came, I wasn't prepared. I suggest even though you feel better DO NOT discontinue or slack off in the program. You didn't get this way overnight and you sure aren't going to be recovered in a week. Be happy that you are feeling relief so quickly, but keep up with the progam. These are "life skills", not just anxiety and depression skills. As the doctor says..."Even if you are feeling better...continue taking the medicine until it's finished" Just my experience!

Chantal, So well put....and by the way I am guilty of not taking the medication after I am feeling better either. I will try to put your advice into action and I hope that Lindajean will too. Thanks ~Flutterby

Thanks for your replys. Its nice to know other people have the same problems. I am NOT going to quit the program. I think this is one of the best around! For me, I will just try to do the lessons every other day, and try to apply as much of it as I can. Good luck to all of you.............Lindajean
