I'm working on Session 3 and there's a question that asks us what failures have I experienced in my life. To be honest, I can't think of any significant failures. No one would accuse me of being optimistic, so I can't figure out why I'm not jotting some down. Here's what I have:
I'm wondering if anyone else is having trouble with this question. Either not being able of much, like me, or feeling like they have a lot of failures. "You don't have to believe everything you think." Bumper sticker in my therapist's office |

Hi Christian73,
I began the program 1 week ago from today by actually listening to audio sessions 1 & 2. Into the week, I completed audio session 3 - self-talk. Honestly, because I'm such a private person, I procrastinated in completing the guide/workbook for 2 reasons: (1) fear that someone will find it and read about all my business (including my husband and children) and (2) I talked myself into not having enough time, while subconsciously hinging on reason (1). Finally, I talked myself into completing Session 1 homework. I plan to complete sessions 2 & 3 tonight and will focus on session 3 & 4 for this week. I did find it a challenge to identify the appropriate background factors from the list provided that attributes to my anxiety. I think I'm over thinking; therefore reaching no decision. Maybe this is what you're experiencing? One suggested practice that I will begin this week, is to start a journal -- to capture everything notable! Champion |
