Moontale ~
I believe you need to slow down & take a deep breath! You've had your whole life to develop the negative behavior that leads to anxiety/depression & it's going to take a bit to re-train your thought process. There is no rush! You are already doing the right thing & on the right path to recovery. Take the time to engross yourself in every lesson - do not rush yourself. You will not get everything out of each lesson if you are putting pressure on yourself to complete the lessons at a fast pace and this can also lead to anxiety! I would suggest using the relaxation cd two to three times a day so that you may get used to the deep breathing exercises and to also slow yourself down. It helps. I also suggest doing the lessons after you've done the relaxation tape so that you may be able to concentrate better. Look at these lessons as a time to get to know yourself & your behaviors better. It is also a time to reflect and learn new skills. Relax with it. Take care. "It's all in the mind, you know." ~George Harrison |

You really need to slow down. You're not doing yourself any good by rushing through this. You won't fully get each weekly lesson if you're skipping ahead and not spending the recommended time on each lesson. There's no rush, you can get past this, but I really think you should slow down and take your time. Wish you the best!

You must be young and in a hurry'''''I can remember those days when "patience" wasn't a favorite word. Others in the group have said what it's very important for you to HEAR.
i'm new too and I'm taking seriously the advice of those who have been successful. Here's hoping that given time, your dreams come true |

Moontale,
I too am having the same problem, I have slowed things down in the past few days and it seems ok. Believe me I am ready to crawl out of my skin with these feelings of constant anxiety and fear, but the truth is, one day at a time! I find I skip ahed on the videos that make sure to follow up on all the other activities. Good luck there is not doubt this is the toughest challenge of my life. |

The program specifically says not to do that. I did and I had to do it all over again because I missed so much. I know you all can muster up enough patience to do this right. I wish someone had stopped me when I was skipping around to the other chapters because then, I wouldn't have wasted so much time getting better.
Every bit of this program is so valuable. Take your time and get all of the information you can. Take care. DeeDee. |
