Hi everybody,
I started the program almost three years ago, and it really helped me stop my panic attacks. I recently started graduate school, and i am all of sudden having panic attacks again. I feel very anxious, and i'm upset because i thought that i had finally rid myself of these. Also, although i am using my techniques, i still feel very nervous and unable to really get ride of it.
Is this normal? Did anyone else have this happen? And do you think this means that i just need to re-do the program?
All comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Hey claire, Trust me you're ok. I've just been through the same thing. I thought I finished session 2 w/ flying colors. Just to find out I had to redo it again. Who knows w/ people like us. I do mean that in a positive way. I think we are special. At least we are tying. I'm not having such a great day today, but I'll just keep on trying till I get it right. What can I lose. I feel like whoever can't support me at this point, well I have me, because I can only help myself. Which scares me sometimes, but hey I feel it's now or never. I hope this helps you. Pea

I thought this was all behind me also. I did the program and got off my zoloft and after a year a 3 months here I am again.
Back on meds and wondering what the is going on with me.
God Bless

Hey yall, This is so much like me, I am trying to wean myself off of antideprssents so I can take the GOOD DAYS. I have to admit I started taking them anyway and I feel good when I remember to take them, but when i forget well I can't really say. You kinda have to be on them a while to really get results. I don't care, because this is my last resort. I'm about ready to check myself into rehab. I just think sometimes it take one on one counseling to get through things, but that's just me. As far as you are concerned, I wouldn't give up on this program and take the good days. It's pretty good stuff. Hang in there! You'll be ok. Pea

Please,
redo your program! sometimes stressful situations cause anxiety to return, but keep your program handy and review it often. The world today has anxiety in it. We just tend to be more sensitive to it.
Remember to review, and if you still have your workbook, go back and read it!! See how far youve come and begin practicing your skill again!!! do something to relax,, like you did during the program! This to shall pass! take care nellySmiler

Thanks for all the responses! For a while no one responded, and i figured i scared all the people who were new to the program and didnt want to hear about relapses! Anyways, i have re-started the program, and i'm much better now.
It is almost like i regressed back to my former thinking patterns, and its really hard to change, but i'm determined. If this program worked once then i know it will work again. I've also started seeing a therapist to try and figure out why the panic attacks have come back now.
Anyways, Thanks again for the support, it really helps! Smiler
