i just completed this lesson went for a walk and thought i was cured. i was wrong. i was having a discussion with my friend and she told me she didnt care one bit about a site im coding so i told her " yeah well what if i told you i didnt care about yours?" and she used the following as an exscuse.
"only YOU can cause yourself ot have anxiety attacks because your scared"
i dont think she realizes she is contributing to my anxiety and i warned her several times to stop and she continued so i ended up getting off MSN.
I know what you mean about people making it worse. Maybe try to avoid her for awhile, tell her she is only making it harder for you and you want to be around people who inpower you.

Dark: I'm on session 7 and this has been he hardest concept for me to get into my head: WE CAUSE OUR OWN ANXIETY!!! It's hard to accept that we do this to ourselves but when we do, it empowers us to TURN IT OFF! No one can turn it off for us and it's ridiculous to expect the world to walk around helping us with our anxiety!
You made a good choice to turn off the MSN. Next time, you will nip that kind of conversation in the bud even quicker. And it's from turning off those conversations, with others and yourself, that will make the anxiety truly take a hike.
well i had to turn MSN off she wouldnt stop and it was the only way my anxiety would go away. after calling and hanging up on her several times we worked our differences out. and i got off MSN and went to bed for the night.
