I believe that I started my first anxiety attacks at the age of 6. Do the the fact that I grew up in a very strong religious background and was partially deaf. and thinking about my past life, I had so many anxiety attackes over the years that I learn to automatically push them down inside me and not give it the permission like lesson 2 says.
I think that sometimes I'm having an attack and don't even realize i've had one because I've been stuffing it down inside me for so long.
I could sure use some feedback on this.

Yolanda...I felt the same way when I found out what the heck was wrong with me Wink Until I realized that the way I felt had a name and a cure I would hide the episodes not just from others but try very hard to hide them from myself. Didn't work for me and I don't think that has worked for others because you are not dealing with issue. You have already made a great observation so you are well on the road to recovery. Take care and peace be with you.

Hi Yoladybug, My husband does just what you are doing with the panic attacks. He has had them for so long he doesn't realize it's there anymore.I see it, I have taught friends and family how to see them and help him through it. He will just continue on like it is nothing while the rest of us watch him getting higher and higher with anxiety. His attacks are short and frequent. The problem is that each one builds on the next one and they all start running together. I tell him he is having one, and he looks at me like I'm crazy. I'm sorry you have this too. I don't know which is worse, a few times a day with intense episodes or all day with a low steady pattern. Hope is that you have seen it. You feel it and I would say that anytime you think you may be having one then practice the breathing and letting it happen. I have finally gotten my husband to do that if I can catch them early in the day. And it works. Take care and good luck. Sherri

Thank you for your feedback. It is good to know that I am not alone with this.
