Hi everyone,

I'm not saying I had the best day yesterday,
but actually realized I was panicy. Breathing, accepting, and finding music to focus on, then thinking of things to feel better..helped! I had to start breathing and start again about six times. Then, later, I could see how I was making a situation much more painful by creating terrible outcomes in my imagination.
It gives me a feeling of strength to have some tools to help me through these times,
but knowing it will pass, and I will think more logically, clearer later. Taking care of my needs imediately-then solving the trouble later helps me.
Has anyone else been soothed by breathing?

Kris--

Yes, I've found the breathing to be very, very helpful.

My early signs of panic are usually spaciness, shakiness, and a racing heart. But, I've noticed that I don't go into a full-blown panic unless I start breathing very shallowly and quickly. The 2-4 breathing stops that from happening. I've found that if I do it 4 or 5 times, I feel much better. I helps a lot.

I'm glad it's working for you
