In lesson 2, in the 4th step it says "I can go about my business feeling spaced-out". Is this really accurate?
I would lose hours sometimes at work. It was scary even if I have no idea if anyone knew or not. I recall many times someone coming up behind me and scaring the crap out of me because I was so out of it I didn't hear them. Then I looked suspicious as hell. I was even spoken to by my boss more than once as to why I close all the windows on my computer, or cover my work when someone comes behind me. It's really hard to explain this reaction. If I feel spaced-out, it's no wonder I'm self-conscious and worried in a business situation, or even a social one. Yes, I've survived this feeling before, but driving or giving a presentation when you feel this way doesn't seem "ok". |
