I am anxious tonight. I am getting my haircut tomorrow, and I am so anxious. I want a new look, but yet I'm afraid to take risk, so I end up getting the same old thing. I am so afraid what others will think. I don't want to embarras myself. So I thought if I put these thoughts down maybe it would help. Anyone else feel this way before a haircut?

I have felt this way before...it is natural to feel anxious before changing our look. And women love their hair! Go for the new look and just know that hair grows back (thankfuly)

All that matters is that you are happy when it comes to how you look! Don't get fooled into worrying about what someone else thinks about how you look. Believe in yourself and bring your self esteem up. Let someone else worry about what they want to. If someone else does'nt like or approve of how you look then let them carry that burden that they put on themselves. You can choose not to look at something that you don't like so they can too! I am a firm believer in change! I can totally relate to the haircut thing. I have gone so many times with the intentions of changing (I have had the same hairstyle/color since I think I was about 7) but always chicken out! Guess what? This last time I went I said I wanted change and I cut my hair about 6 inches, changed the part and color and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! Just remember, as long as you haev a good stylist, they will give you advice on what might look good and what won't because after all, they want you to come back! I say go for it and as long as you are happy with it, that's all that matters!!

Hi Guys,

I had a relapse 2 days ago after being better for 4 months. I am having trouble stay asleep at night and my apetite is completely gone. I am anxious all of the time and I am constantly obsessing about all the bad things that associate with anxiety. Any words of encouragement?

Jessica,
Go back and study the lesson on growth spurts! (relapse) They happen but they pass, you just need to review your program a little. You know the skills,, now use them!
You wont go back to where you started,, you are just experiencing what most people in everyday life do,, its called LIFE and Anxious moments, LOL,,, I know its scarey, but dont let it stick around,, Kick it in the butt, and then move forward,,, You can DO IT!!!! take care NellySmiler
