I have also just started to program, and I am not on any meds. I had been on them for years, and they helped, but they are only a quick fix. I can't drive at all. It terrifies me. So I feel you on that.

I started the program today. I am on 25mg of zoloft and .25 xanax (as needed) I want to get off the zoloft within the next couple of months. I don't think it is doing much, I am told I need to up the dose to 50mg tried it once and had more anxiety than when I take nothing. The xanax works good if I know I am heading into a situation that is hard for me like a dentist or meeting or anywhere I have to sit in one place for a long time. I am hoping to learn how to live, have a great time and not depend on drugs.

Hi Dulce,
I just got the program Friday and started Saturday. Im 47 and have been dealing with this since I was 17. It has finally come to a head and has to stop.I think we have all made a great decision to start this program. It is such a relief to hear I am not the only one. After listening to the first CD i am excited. I know I cant change things now but I wish I had this info earlier in life. I know we are all on the right track

To Chris Adams,

I've had this condition since I was 17 too, Chris, and I'm now 51. I started the program about 4 weeks ago but am still on session 2 as I had some family emergencies.

I wish I'd had something earlier too.

Hi Dulce! I also just started this program. I started last Monday, so almost a week ago. I just started the second session. So far I love it and I'm so excited about it!! Big Grin

I also don't take meds. I got some last fall and used it like two times before I got myself off them. haha. I'm one of those weird people who gets anxious about taking anxiety meds. :P I think this program will be sooo much more helpful to me than anything a pill could do! How are you doing now?

I'm doing pretty good, and really busy lately! My biggest challenge so far has been to "take the time" to sit down and work on the program. BUT I'd say it's going really well..

Hi DULCE,
On your first post, you asked about meds and if you were the only one not taking any. I just wanted to know how you are doing so far?
I was put on meds and now I'm working this program and weaning myself off of them slowly. It's really hard to stop taking them once you start. I wish that I never started them. They helped in the beginning, but then they just became something that I have to quit taking, because they are a "crutch" and not a cure. It was like putting a bandaide on a broken leg. Now, I feel so much more upbeat, just knowing that I'm doing something positive about it.

I hope that you are able to drive with comforting thoughts soon.
Good luck to you and everyone else out there who is working hard at getting over anxiety.
Its just anxiety...
be well,happy and calm,
SmilerCher
