Hi. Well I suffer from Panic and Anxiety attacks and I have that constant unreality feeling with me and I have spoken to some people about that. But I have such weird physical symptoms. First off I have been dealing with this now for 3 months and its getting easier I guess to deal with but I dont know if it is because of allof this but I have been getting horrible pains in my stomach my entire stomach and my sides. I mean it feels like I am being stabed with a knife or something I have convinced myself that I have stomach cancer or something. Is anyone else feeling this so that I am not so scared anymore?????
Thanks Anna |

I also believe that you should definitely get an exam from a doctor regarding your stomach problems. But, if there is no conclusive diagnosis your pain is probably anxiety induced. I spent 3 years of my life nauseaus every day. I would wake up in the middle of the night with severe stomach pain. Sometimes the pain would be so bad I would pass out on the bathroom floor. I had all sorts of tests done and there was never anything anatomically incorrect with me. My doctor said it was irritable bowel syndrome and prescribed medication that made me feel worse. Nowadays I hardly ever feel ill. Once I overcame my anxiety all of the stomach symptoms went away. Be patient. In the meantime try not drinking alcohol or caffeine, limit your intake of fatty and spicy foods, drink lots of peppermint tea. I tried acupuncture and had some good results, but the best treatment was the program. If you feel nauseaus try chewing gum - it always helps me. Hang in there!
