I'm stuck here guys!! I feel that I have pretty much beat the full blown panic attacks but am just kind of stuck in the "high anxiety" mode. I stay in high gear alot...and if I'm not in high gear, I'm feeling quite depressed. My mind races sometimes to the point of exhaustion...not just with negative thoughts, but positive thoughts too. Can't seem to "shift" to a lower, slower gear. Any suggestions??

I found myself having a similar problem several weeks ago. The panic attacks were becoming infrequent, but I almost wished I were having them again, because at least they always end with relief, whereas the high anxiety I was feeling just never seemed to abate.

I realized that you have to treat the high anxiety like you would a panic attack. Use the six steps. I am a big fan of the STOP! cards that came with the program. And, the relaxation tape is really effective.
