In Panic to Power, Lucinda states that spacey feelings usually last a couple of hours after the attack. Mine last for a couple of days. Does anyone else experience this?

Hi,Annie! I guess I'm abnormal! I used to feel spacey all day everyday, even when I didn't feel anxious or have panic. I am currently on session 10 and still feel "spacey" every now and then. I haven't had a real panic attack for months now, so I can't say that mine is related to an actual Panic attack. When I get those "spacey" feelings, I feel as if I am having an out of bdy experience or something. Is that how you feel as well? At times, when I feel extra spacey, I even feel like I could pass out. ~Karen S

Are you dwelling on the feeling perhaps? I used to do that...get that spacey feeling then constantly worry on whether it would come back so then of course I had it all the time. Its hard, especially for us, to just drop things and I found this was my biggest problem. I also found that I was stressed, even if I didn't think so because of the same reason.

I'm sure there are others who are like this...everyone is different. What may last a few hours for some may last a day or 2 for you.

I do dwell on it. It's just really hard to shake, even though I know I'm getting better.

Thanks,

My spacey feelings last all day too. I think we anticipate is happening again so we keep ourselves wound up , which just makes it worse. Seems to happen more if I have to face something I dont feel comfortable doing. Thats when we have to tell ourselves, "it will do away". Easier said than done sometimes. Glad we have each other to talk it out. Sure has helped me. Thelma
