I just got back from vacation out of state with my husband and daughter. We went to Universal Studios and spent another day at the beach and aquarium in Long Beach. I had a good time after I got past the initial fear in the morning at Universal. With my fear of crowds I was very proud of myself, not to mention the off balance feelings I have been fighting, (walking all day). The second day at the aquarium I was a little more off balance, possibly because I wasn't so occupied phsically and mentally, you know distracted from my feelings and thoughts. I still got through the day, though. That evening I started feeling very "unreal" and off balance, but I stayed at the restaurant we were at and made it through dinner and back to the car, (which wasn't close), as we went back to Universal City Walk for dinner and had a pretty long walk back to the parking garage. I had a MRI done last weekend and have been waiting for the results, so all things considered I think going on vacation while still waiting for those results was pretty brave of me, (pat on the back). I still haven't received a call from my doctor's office, so hopefully I will have good knews tomorrow. My husband said no news is usually good news, as the results should have come in by Monday or Tuesday and this is Thursday.

Wow, Mary! You deserve several pats on the back. I'm so glad you were able to enjoy yourself in spite of the anxious feelings.

Thanks for your replies. Yes, it is funny how there are people all around us dealing with the same issues, but we can't "tell" by just looking at them. In fact, my therapist said she wouldn't peg me as a nervous person just by talking to me, though she can tell when my anxiety level is up, but generally I appear as outgoing and friendly., which of course I am along with the anxiety.
