Yep, I flew from Phoenix to Detroit and back all alone. I used a half of a Xanax to get there, but flew back without it.

And I even had FUN while doing it

I am actually looking forward to flying again.

While we were over the middle of the U.S., on the return flight from Detroit to Phoenix, I couldn't help but think of Lucinda. The pilot had let us know upon take-off that we were going to veer way south before heading west due to a weather situation in the plains. Mid-route he told us to please take our seats and put on our seat belts as there had been reports of substantial moderate turbulence in the area.

I saw lots of taller clouds and figured, oh that's where it is. I did my breathing and reminded myself that turbulence won't hurt me as long as I'm in my seat belt, that I know what it is, and that when I was younger I was never afraid of it, so there was no reason to be afraid now.

My heart had started beating a bit harder, but otherwise I was doing just fine.

And guess what? Just like Lucinda's story: NOTHING HAPPENED, lol! We bumped and swayed for a moment and I figured, ok here it comes, and then that was it. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself.
