I feel really great right now because I took my daughter to the library and then we went to the park and played together. After that we stopped at the convenience store and bought ourselves an icee. It feels wonderful to be able to do something fun with her. Usually I avoid things like that because of the anxiety/panic. Just wanted to share my great day with all of you. Thanks for listening.

Thanks for the pat on the back everyone!! We did another library/convenience store outing yesterday and had no problems. My therapist said to keep doing that same activity until it gets easy and then think a step higher and do that until it is easy. I know I need to get comfortable with the grocery stores, but that is a huge hurdle for me. I HATE grocery stores with a passion, especially when I have to drag my daughter with me (it takes 10 times longer to get through the store). I don't know about anyone else, but Super WalMart is extremely hard for me. I'm fine if I have my mom or husband with me though -- go figure.

I am happy for the little accomplishments, and I am hopeful that I will build on this. It feels so good to at least attempt outings as compared to staying at home and feeling trapped. Thank you for the encouragement. Big Grin

I think the steps that you are taking are so wonderful. Moving at your own pace is so valid, that's just taking care of yourself. Just move on your time-table. You are doing wonderfully. The supermarket will come when you're ready for it to come. I just know that practicing gradually you can get there.

Great job!
