I just have to tell people that I did something fun and kind of anxiety provoking tonight. I went to a outdoor festival all by myself because I wanted to see the musical entertainment. It was Gary Lewis and the Playboys from the 60's. They were a bit before my time, but I do remember their music and I really wanted to do something outside tonight. It was a gorgeous day today and I hadn't made any plans for tonight. So I called a friend but no answer, SO I WENT BY MYSELF! Had a nice time. Felt a bit self conscious at times and worried I'd run into someone I knew and would have to say I was there solo. But "it's no big deal" right? LOL! I did find myself all "tight" and arms crossed as I sat there watching them perform. But that's my normal mode anymore. So, all in all I was happy I went. And I just KNEW I'd be down and feeling bad if I didn't go. Just wanted to share.
And on the drive home I heard Lucinda's voice coming out of my car radio. Huh?? It was a commercial for the Midwest Center and a free CD or something. Kind of weird to hear her on the radio. Anyone else hear these commercials?

Congrats on going in on your own. It is kind of scary to go somewhere alone, especially with large crowds but you did it! It's funny you heard Lucinda on the way home. I haven't heard her on the radio yet. Congrats, again.

and yes... actually, i was sitting in my car on a break from work and extremely upset about something and talking to my mom when i heard her commercial on the radio - i considered it a sign and ordered the program shortly after
In the immortal words of The Doors, 'The time to hesitate is through.'
Wow that's awesome that you did that, I hope to be able to go watch some bands or music groups someday, and I would like to be able to do it comfortably by myself or with someone. Going alone to something like that is a huge step, even if you felt self-concious at times you did it and made it through it with everything being okay!
Live in your world get pwned in mine.
