wow, i've had a busy couple of days! yesterday, i went to the MVA with my mom to get a new learner's permit (mine expired and i haven't finished driver's ed yet) and spent two hours there. needless to say it was an anxiety rollercoaster-we had gotten there before peak hours, but by the time we were leaving, boy was it a zoo! however, i used my tools and didn't leave even though a few rough spots made me desperate to run away. then today, i went to a movie (which i haven't done in months) AND a restaurant (which i haven't done in longer). the restaurant was the scarier of the two, but thankfully, it wasn't that crowded (it was early), so i could focus on positive talking my way through it without the added stress of loads of people.
i really can't believe how much change i have been able to make in my life these past 5 weeks that i've been focusing on the program. this is coming from a girl who only left the house just about once or twice a week, if that, in the months of may and june!! i'm really excited, thanks for the positive encouragement!
...and right when she thought the world was ending, the catepillar became a beautiful butterfly...
