Hey gang,

For the past five years I have wanted to work in sales for a famous overnight delivery company. Well I am now one step closer to making it come true. I saw on a job site that this company had sales positions in my area. Today I emailed three times and sent a fax of a cover letter, my resume, and copies of awards I achieved. Today I got a request for an interview this Thursday!

I had first seen a sales job listing last month. Two weeks after my initial resume email got no response, I started emailing my resume every other day, one day three times . Today I saw another sales gig offering in another close area to my place and did the multiple emailings plus fax. And it worked!

I did great on the interview today. The manager wants me to go to the next level which is a panel interview--with two other managers (who will ask me the same questions as he did. ) Unfortunately this job is not going to happen. What kills this job opportunity is (1) having to spend the first 4 weeks of a 10 week training program down south at the corporate HQ, and (2) I'd have to entertain clients. Entertain as in taking them to dinner, sporting events, etc. And take time away from my wife?! She's the only "client" I'm entertaining.

On the train ride home I felt disappointed that there are these scenarios. My feeling of disappointment eventually left, and then I got really nauseous . I left my seat and moved to the next train car where the bathroom was. I was sure I was going to toss my lunch (literally), but thankfully it didn't happen. I stayed in the bathroom for a couple of minutes and started feeling better. My stomach is just now starting to feel better. Nerves? Nah .

Hope you are feeling better today. Glad to hear the Yanks have tied the series. I need to be watching this, when do they play again?
