I bought the program in November of last year. I found it better for ME to go much slower than the recommended one session per week. I've FULLY absorbed lessons one through five and now use the techniques without even thinking about it. When I get anxious, I am able to immediately calm myself down (actually, I very rarely get anxious anymore!). I immediately notice when I start "beating myself up" (still happens sometimes) and put a stop to it. I've changed my outrageous expectations to realistic ones. I wasn't a caffeine freak to start with, but didn't realize how sugar was stimulating me; I've cut back on sugar and feel better. I page through the workbook every 2 or 3 days to re-enforce what I've learned and periodically notice something new. I feel 1000% better.
I expect the rest of the program to progress more quickly. I just listened to lesson six for the first time yesterday. I did have an anger problem in the past, but seem to have dealt with it in conjunction with the "expect less, get more" session. I'll be moving to session 7 very quickly. I'm looking forward to session 8: "what if thinking" as that remains a problem for me. The others I expect to do in the recommended one week (well, we'll see). For anyone reading this who's worried about the cost of the program: it was the best $300 I ever spent. When I bought the program I thought maybe I could not write in the workbook, and eBay the program when I was done. Well, I haven't written in the workbook, but there's no way I'm going to sell the program. I'm going to keep it for future reference. One of the things I did with the audio program was to convert it to mp3 format and burn the entire program to a single CD. When I travel, I will periodically listen to the program (useful for when the airlines @#$! you over and you're feeling stressed). Try it, it might work for you too. |

Bigjohn,
What a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing. I am so glad you are doing so well. And good for you for taking the time you desired to take on doing the first part of the program. I am one of those that took 2-3 weeks per tape. One week each would have been waay too fast for me and since I was trying to slow everything else down I did that slower too. Keep up the good work.
