Hey everyone-

Here is another topic where you all can list what you are most grateful for. Here I will start.

1) I am grateful for my wonderful family and the home that God blesses me with.

2) All of my friends who I have met through here and the ones whom I have helped out tremendously with any advice I thought would be helpful.

3) For accomplishing the MWC program and appreciating all of the hard work that the MWC staff put into this program

4) My great health and well-being

Well that's four LOL Wink Probably could list some more...but hope evrybody has a blessed day.

I am grateful that God led me to the MWC and it's program. For most of my life I've never felt good enough around others. Now, it doesn't matter, I'm good enough for me.

I am grateful for my family, wife and son, staying with me while I went through this life maze of figuring out why I couldn't work, couldn't control my sleep pattern, and couldn't come out of severe depression. I hope I can reward their loyalty in some significant way in the future.

I'm thankful for being off of anti-anxiety meds and for the drop in my anti-depressant and for a solid job prospect.

I'm thankful for the people I have met here on the forum and for their friendship, and I am thankful that Lucinda went through the suffering she did so that she could help me. And I'm thankful for Carolyn and Tammy and the others who work at the MWC. Without them and their work I might still be stuck.

I am grateful for Lucinda, Carolyn, and this extraordinary workable program which has literally saved my life. My testimonial was recently published in the summer issue of the "LESS STRESS PRESS". I visited so many shrinks, doctors, therapists,..etc, and they just don't "get it". They didn't help. In a two year period I left an incredible 18 year career in government @wife's request to pursue contract work for more $. When the work dried up I frantically searched for work. Nothing paid what I was accustomed to and insurance benefits for myself and family ran out, house went into foreclosure, lost my cottage, wife left me for old high school sweetheart, father passed away, and I also had a gallon of gasoline blow-up on me leaving 3rd degree burns on 1/3 of my body. IN 2YEARS! The stress was so unbearable, sweats, weight loss, PANIC/depression. I started drinking to escape because as "A MAN", I wouldn't admit to depression...a sign of weakness. That complicated my life for the worse and I checked into a rehab center. It did nothing for me and I had to confront the depression. I admitted myself into a psychiatric hospital for 2 weeks and was diagnosed w/Major Recurrent Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Upon discharge my meds included Lithium, Depakote, Paxil, Remeron, Catapres, Seroquel, and Librium. After 2 weeks in the Midwest Program I eliminated all meds except for Remeron ocassionally at night. The program immediately grabbed my attention when the association of physical pain and paranoia of illness is common for folks like us. WHY couldn't "professionals" explain, diagnose, or have the knowledge that a few simple lines in the workbook presented??? You guys are incredible, warm, supportive, and get right to the core of this condition like no one else, and believe me, I searched. "I am definitely most grateful for Midwest Center" Also, Carolyn, if you happen to read this message I know perfectionism is not a virtue, but my last name was mispelled in the issue. Luv you guys..............RT

Right now, I'm just thankful for the people I've met so far...I finally feel like I belong. I feel validated. I feel hope. And for that I am incredibly grateful.
