Yesterday was the shortest day of the year!

This time of year I start feeling like a mushrooom. Or one of those deep sea fish that never sees light, so they grow funny stalks for eyes and emit a strange eerie flourescent green light. Sorry for the visualizations, but thats how I feel when it gets dark at 4 pM. (actually its supposed to be funny)

I wonder how much daylight we gained today?

I celebrate this every year. Hope it makes someone smile!

It made me smile - I celebrate that the days are getting longer, too. I put it on my "Things to be thankful for" list. YEA for longer days!

Thanks for the reminder of this very HAPPY occurance!!!!! I was wondering when this was going to happen, and mentioned to hubby that we still had twilight at 5:05 last night.

I beleive we start to gain 1-2 minutes (am & pm)of daylight every day or two... YIPPIEEEEE!

I know for those suffering from SAD, this is great news.
