Hey everyone! As a former literature and language teacher, I am setting out on a new and exciting adventure (hoping many of you will join). I would like to publish a book of triumphs and success stories over panic disorder, agoraphobia, and any other anxiety disorder (and related depression). The book will be published within the next three months and will be your chance to tell your story; your chance to really write what it was like to suffer with and anxiety disorder, and more importantly how wonderful (and possible it is) to recover. You can submit poems or short narratives of your personal experience and victory! You know as well as I that those who are not yet recovered need to see that they are no different than any other ex-anxiety sufferer and that 100% recovery is possible! I have a publisher readied for the book. Unfortunately, I cannot compensate you financially due to the expense of the project. Regardless, it's an opportunity to have your victory recorded in print as an inspiration for others. If you are interested, please send your piece to "conquistador817@hotmail.com" I will respond to all samples and will have to maintain the right to copyright the material with the publisher as well as edit the work. However, I will do my best to involve you in every part of the process. I have room for about 35 more submissions; I will not be able to publish all pieces, but will do my best to include all those that touch the heart. Please keep your samples between 2-5 typewritten pages (MS Word) but do not send them as an attachment. Be sure to "include" them in the email. This isn't any get rich quick scheme for any of us - just a chance to let the voices of triumph be heard.
I love to write, however I'm not sure I'm recovered enough to have a triumphant story. Finished the program but the negative thinking is harder to shake. Good luck.
