I went to the gym today after work for the first time in about 4 months. I think that the "Eat and Exercise" session helped to get me motivated. I also took a 45-minute walk on Sunday; can't remember when I last did that.
Looks like progress to me.

Way to go! I've tried to work out a little more lately, too. It definitely makes a difference in the way I feel, but it's hard to get motivated to do it. I hope that you keep up the good work and see great benefits!

I think that the exercise definitely helps to reduce my anxiety/stress level. It gives me time to clear my head out and to consider whatever is bothering me without having to deal with that issue at that moment. As for the diet, I'm still working on modifying mine, so it's too early for me to say, but I am much more aware of how much sugar I consume. I've even started a food journal so that I can see what my patterns are.

Live again,

Thanks for your kind words. Motivation is tough!
My knees help to motivate me; they hurt less if I exercise more. Exercise guru Jack LaLanne says that he doesn't like to exercise, but he likes the way that the women look at him as a result of his working out, so he keeps working out. I don't like to start exercising, but once I've started, I feel good about doing it. And I always feel good about having done it. I don't expect, or try, to impress any women with my physique, but I sure do hope that some of them are looking for other reasons.

I had to hire a personal trainer to keep me motivated to keep exercising. I've lost 35 pounds and down 4 sizes. It has really helped me to become more healthy. I know I don't get sleepy during the day anymore. I work out 3 times a week and take a yoga class every Saturday. I think exercise is a very important part of mental well being as well as physical.

However, my anxiety sometimes sabbotages my ability to acknowledge the progress I've made. I worry about my health all the time and am extremely afraid of doctors. I've had two people very close to me not get better. So...I think the doctor is going to find something and I won't get better either. My therapist thinks I've been traumatized by my brother's death that has been haunting me for years...subconsciously. I freak out just picking up the phone to call a doctor. I'm tired of it. I just got the program today and hopefully this will help me with my anxiety problem.
