I suffer chronic depression. Anti-depressants, cognitive therapy, etc. did not help me. Is there anyone out there with chronic clinical depression and have been helped with this program?

Hi Bob, This is Jasmine. Have you tried other types of medicine? If you tried an SSRI and that didn't work, you might want to try an MAOI. You have to keep experimenting until you find the right one for you. Don't give up though. I know its hard, but just keep at it.

Hi Jasmine:
thanks for answering. I've used all of the anti-depressants, to no avail. I am somewhat excited regarding the FDA approval of Transcrantial Magnetic Stimulation. However, it cost in the range of $3,000-$5,000 for a 4 week treatment.
I am concerned if Bassett's program can help with chronic depression or just spinning my wheels. It appears that it is more related to cognitive therapy, vis-a-vis, biological depression.
There does not appear to be much action on the posting regarding depression!
Again, thanks
Bob

Just curious. . .did you try the older Tricyclics like Tofranil? That is the only med I've been able to take. I took it about a dozen years ago and it really helped.
