I like the relaxation cd. I try to make the effort to listen to it at least once a day.I have listened to similar relaxation tapes in the past. One was a "relieve stress/anxiety"tape done by a hypnotist. Another was a lucid dreaming tape. It seems like everytime I lie back on the recliner and listen to them,I fall asleep.! After the tapes are done,I wake up.I do the same thing with this relaxation cd with Laura Basett's voice on it. She sounds so calming and soothing,just like a hypnotist. I guess,to get the full benifit of the relaxation exercise,is to sit up on the recliner and have eyes open. Another thing like and is ironic(if saying that right)is I put on "Rainforest"simering potpourri. Laura says on the cd imagine being in a forest,with plants,trees,and then she says spotting berries & flowers along this trail. Well, that aroma of "Rainforest"sure goes along with what she says. It's not a have to,for me to use the potpourri with the cd. And it was by coincedence,that I happened to try the "Rainforest"potpourri with the cd. It smells so good,like herbs and well,berries or some flowers also. The cd will definitly help and re-inforce in my areas,where i feel stress or anxiety somewhere else or even at home. I hope others will use it and it will help them too.

Where do you get this cd you are posting about?(Rainforest)?

Shimdan:Hi! I am finally getting on-line to this site,and especially to the forums. First of all,want to appoligize in general and especially to when I meant"Lucinda"instead I said the name "Laura". Anyways, no,there is no cd on rainforest,at least that's not what I was referring to. What I mainly was talking about is the relaxation cd found right in everyone's introductory part of the packet. On the cd,it's mentioned about visioning being in a forest,not rainforest. What I was saying was,when I put my simering potpourri on,it (my senses)smells,and the name of it"Rainforest"kind of went along with the cd(the atmosphere)I should say. Simmering potpourris,can be found in most major dept.stores in arts and crafts areas,in case anyone is interested. To use the simering potpourri,you have to have a simmering pot to use it. They can also be found where the simering potpourri are sold. Oh,incidently I do have at least 1 separate cd called "Forest Giants of the Rainforest"that not part of this program. It is nature sounds/non-vocal music. I believe I got it a the health food area of a grocery store.

I actually play the CD very low, and the lights are turned off in my bedroom with myself lieing on the bed in a relaxed state with my eyes closed. At the end of the CD, I use my remote to turn off the tv (I have a portable tv with a dvd player that allows me to play the cd) and I fall asleep for the night.
