When I am really down and anxious I try to think about silly stuff that happened when I was a kid...really silly memories....that always helps me....I grew up the middle kid and was pretty much tortured by my brother and sister...Sometimes I will just sit there and think of a memory and just start giggling...We grew up in a seriously dysfunctional family! My parents were both from Europe...It was hard having friends over because our Dad was always embarassing us! Now I look back and laugh at it...I am sure one day I will get married again and hopefully have kids and they will be saying the same stuff...

Kat,
After reading your post I came up with a couple funny stories. My brother in law always teases squeezes and plays rough with animals. For some reason animals 'like' him at the zoo. (Meaning they get horny and follow him around) He gets teased about that sometimes. He always tries to catch my outdoor cats and play with them. One of the cats is sort of wild, and he managed to catch him. He didn't know the cat had eaten a huge meal a couple hours earlier. His names 'Piglet' because he eats so darned much. My brother in law proudly brought the cat in the house and said he was letting him pet him. The cat looked stunned, and was letting himself be cradled on his back. He must have squeezed him too hard because the cat pooped on him, and it was still on his shirt. I pointed it out, and he immediately dropped the cat, and the poop fell off too. Once my sister got a perm when I was about 3 or 4 and when she came home I started crying because I didn't know who she was. It looked like an afro. We stole my dad's hair dye and used it on the cat. Turned him a nice shade of brown. My sister found a bandaid in the tuna hotdish once, and told my mom. She told her not to tell my brother because he hadn't eaten yet, and he wouldn't if he knew. Everyone was mad at him because he could be kind of a jerk. So all my brothers and sisters sat around and watched as he ate the hotdish. When he was finished my sister told him there had been a bandaid in it. She thought it was a nice big chunk of tuna. Of course he was pretty mad. Thanks for the post! Deb |

Ha! Those are some great stories!! The one that stands out most for me is when my sis and I went to some friends down the street to play dolls(I was like 5...) We were all having fun playing with dolls and dressing up when one of the girls says I'll be right back...My sister decides she is hungry and starts eating a banana...next thing we know this girl is at the top of the stairs laughing and launches something down at us...All of a sudden it lands on my sisters shoe, and its poo! My sister drops the banana and throws up! I am sure we got out of there really fast!
To this day I still tease my sister about that one...for years she would get really embarassed if I mentioned it to other people...but now she just laughs...One time she came to visit me and she put on these black pants with bananas all over them, she said hey Kat these are my banana barf pants!
