Anyone else ever ended up laughing over your own vanity impulses??? Here's the deal. One of my girlfriends talked me into going to a tanning salon. So, we went. Now keep in mind that I have some physical disabilities. Then, she talked me into tanning for an "all over tan". Yep, you guessed it.
After successfully getting myself onto the tanning bed, (not an easy feat for me), tanning, and cooling off, I attempt to get up from the tanning bed. Wasn't happening. My body will not roll to the left to sit up and that's the only direction out. Hmmm, forgot about that one little detail. So anyway, my "all over tanned, somewhat under dressed Did I panic? Heck no, I called out with a laugh and said "Hey, anybody out there that can help get this old body, now beautifully tanned out of this darn thing? Either that or you're stuck with me for the weekend" " Bring a blindfold while you're at it" Hey, I have a ways to go yet with the exercise and a few more pounds off wouldn't hurt either. So, care to share????? Hugs |

Wow Cindy! You managed that GREAT! Those tanning beds are kinda clam shells taht one can get stuck in. I did years back!
I had an experience some weeks back at a OB/GYN appointment. It was my yearly appointment. I had stated to him that my hair was falling out in clumps and I have some really thin spots I was concerned with. He really did not seem interested and started my exam. The doctor said he noticed I shaved and had some spider veins. I was like yeah, so. He then said well we have a Women's Spa center that offers laser hair and spider vein removal! THAT was not an issue doc! How about the hair that is falling out here?! "Afterall, everybody only hears what he understands." by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe |
