I wrote this in 1994.

My heart is heavy laden,
I know not what to do.
I only know that Jesus will always see me through.

I know that He is with me,
Each and every day.
I know that He will hold my hand each step along the way.

I know not what has happened to bring me down so low,
Is it something sent to teach me,
Or am I reaping what I sow?

Whatever is the reason,
This pain I must endure.
I must confess that it is here
to cleanse and make me pure.

I know that He is with me,
Each and every day.
I know that He will hold my hand each step along the way.

So, whatever is your plight today,
In sickneess or in health,
Remember that it came your way
to increase your eternal wealth.

Great, Don! I too write poetry and songs. Haven't for a while again now. It comes for me out of the clear blue. Like when I wrote a long poem on depression, I just got up from sleep and wrote and wrote. That was the longest one I'd ever written. When I get a song it usually comes just like that too. I don't try to write on any certain thing. How about you? Do you write often or how does it come for you?
