JPC, Right, you are so...not alone but as others said what a relief to find other people struggling just as we do or did. Keep doing your program, it will get better.

Hey Bev, I just started getting e-mails from Pastor Gregory Dickow and I don't remember who told me or if maybe I saw it on a post from this site. It's very helpful. JPC subscribe to that. PM me your e-mail and I'll forward one to you, if you want.

I bought this audio book after reading what you said. It is really great! Thanks a million

I know this is not a current thread, but I just came across it and wanted to add to it. I also suffer from the scary thoughts, along with feelings of unreality. They are extremely difficult to deal with, I would trade a physical symptom for this symptom anyday. I had a realization this morning. I heard a tv preacher say that old saying about facing your fears and I thought to myself, how do I face my fear of hurting myself or someone else? It then hit me, I am facing it everyday already! Everyday that I get out of bed I am facing my fear of going out of control and hurting someone or myself! Whenever I am around other people, I face that fear. With that in mind, I have been looking at things differently all day today. The only problem with this type of thinking is that, even though I am facing my fear by just living, I am CONSTANTLY facing my fear and it is exhausting!

JPC,

So.....how are you doing ? Just wanted to let you know we care about you and hope that you are continuing on through the program.

Its been almost a month since your first post. Can you see a little progress ? Is it just a little better?

Here's another scripture for you to dwell on, which I'm sure you know:

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. Phil 4:6-8

Hi Pilgrim,
I am doing a little bit better. I now have more good days than bad days. This week has been a little trying with my scary thoughts, but God is helping. I really appreciate the verses you gave me. Phil 4:6 is actually one of my favorite verses. I have it tattooed on my body as a reminder to never give up. How are you and how is everyone else doing that reads this?
