Here's the poem I wanted to share with the poster who was having trouble with answer to prayer. I hope you all can use it in your life, it has really been a big reminder for me since I tend to be a bit of a control freak. (Go figure!)
As children bring their broken toys With tears for us to mend, I brought my broken dreams to God Because He was my friend. But, then instead of leaving Him in peace to work alone, I hung around and tried to help With ways that were my own. At last, I snatched them back And said, “How can you be so slow!” “My child”, He said, “What could I do? You never did let go.” |

How true, how true. I think sometimes I am afraid of the outcome. As if I know better. His ways are better than mine of course. I can only see into today. He can see into eternity. THanks for sharing.

You and me both Reena. I have really gotten into Joyce Meyer's "The Cause and Cure for Worry" series and I can't tell you how much she talks about cases just like ours. We feel like we have to control the outcome in everything, when the best thing for us is to just let God handle it and enjoy the journey. Life could be so peaceful and simple if only we could grasp that one principle. Just LET GO and LET GOD. Too bad it's so darn hard.
