So, here is an update.
Unicorn started a new job today (7/28) and it is the place that took their offer away last month. Wow.
Darla's husband started a new job July 8th. Great.
I have not heard from Jeff. I hope your are okay bud.
I have talked with Zoe but I don't know your status on the job front.
I am delivering Pizzas for Domino's but it's only a few hours a week and barely pays for gas and a few groceries. I rent from a famliy member so they have been understanding but I will have to leave by October if I can't pay some rent and utilities. My car has been acting up also and even kept me from working a full shift Friday night. Only God knows how and when things will get better. My hope is still strong
and your support continues to help me. Thank you.

I'm still praying for all of you who still need work.

Don, I believe that things will work out for you. You are such a good man, and you deserve all the best things.

Hey Don, Sorry to hear about your struggles, but glad you are keeping the right attitude. I'm having a hard time staying positive lately. I have no clue what to do for work. I am trying to not get depressed again but those quick thoughts of "why don't you just give up and end it" creep in once in awhile. I just feel drained and tired of going in circles. Oh well, I'll just keep praying and looking for signs. Thanks for thinking of me and your prayers are appreciated Unicorn.

Good to hear from you Jeff. Hang in there bud. I still get those defeatist thoughts and I am still fighting them. They are scary but they do go away.
Thanks for the prayers Teri.
So today, my car stopped during an errand at 12. I was able to get it jump started (I bought a heavy duty set of cables years ago). I called my mechanic friend and he said to bring it in.
Long story short, my alternator was bad. My friend was able to replace it before they closed at 6. He said to call him later about the bill. Wow.
God worked a lot together today and I thank Him for being with me and providing.

SCDon,
I pray for you that God will answer your prayers. this forum has been such a great help and inspiration to me. I read a lot of posts and now I am starting to reply and share what I have learned. Trust God whole heartedly and talk to Him about your situation. I am truly amazed at how He worked things out for us. this has helped to increase my faith. I still have times when I tend to worry about other issues. I try to remind myself of God's faithfulness. Continue in His Word and we are waiting for your answered prayer.
Darla

So yesterday, Wed., I had a good interview with a VErizon dealer. I'm not sure what to do but if they offer the job I feel compelled to take it.

I got a lot of tips Tuesday night (a night I was not scheduled to work).

Also Wednesday, God told me to go by my old job and ask about the last check I never recieved. I quit abrubtly, so it was not easy to go in there. I am on session 7, so I listened to it in the car. If my check is there, I earned it and it's mine. I don't owe tham a long explanation of why I quit. So, I went in and my check was there and it was a little more than expected and with the tips from Tuesday night,
I PAID MY CAR INSURANCE (which was about to be cancelled). How about them eggs?!?!?!?!?!

So, I praise God and thank HIm for what He will do next.

Way to go Don excellent job. It is amazing when you think about it how much God does and I wish all people could see it (including yours truly) when he works in their lives.

I'm so glad this week has been good for you. And I admire how you acknowledge God's hand in your life.

Better things are on the way - I can feel it.

Cool

I TOO AM OUT OF WORK FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS. I GO TO CHURCH ALMOST EVERY DAY WHEN I AM NOT LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT. I HAVE BEEN THIS ROAD BEFORE OF NOT WORKING AND EACH TIME ITS DIFFERENT BECAUSE GOD HAS GIVEN ME JUST WHAT I NEED. I MUST ADMIT THAT WHEN I DO MY WILL IS WHEN I FEEL MOST DISTRESSED. BECAUSE ITS ALWAYS GODS TIME NOT MINE. I BECOME OVERWHEMED WITH FEAR WHEN I FORCE MY WILL. I ALSO AM AWARE TODAY THAT YOU JUST NEED TO PRAY BECAUSE HIS PHONE LINE IS NEVER BUSY AND KNOW THAT YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

BLESSED BE!

I'm in the automotive industry. I take the job situation day to day. So many friends are laid off. It's tough all over. Don, something will come along.
