We are going to be moving next month and i'm so nervos about it. We will be saving alot of money and gaining alot of space, but with my agerphobia i don't know what to think about it. It's out in the country (far out) nothing around, the nearist store is like 12 miles away! My doctor and family is all here. We are expecting our 3rd child so the extra room and money would help pls i will be able to get a new car. I guess i'm asking advice on how to deal with it? Any advice would be appreciated.

I understand what it is like to have anxiety about being in a new place. I suppose you just need to remember that you are your safe place. Nothing else can be as comforting and optimistic as yourself. If it helps, repeat "I am my own safe place" to yourself, especially because you will be out in the country which can make you feel disconnected from "everything else". Change is always difficult, but remember that your family will still be with you and that your true home is the love you have for your family (and that they have for you) and, most importantly, the love you have for yourself. Good luck!

Boy can I relate to your post. I moved from Niagara Falls last July to an old 1860's delapitated farm house that hadn't been occupied for 2 years, that had no water, broken windows,(no working door locks for first week) I had no car, didn't know anyone. I am 25 minutes away from the closest small city and need a car just to get to a little country store in the next little town. I spent 4 days alone every week for the first 12 and a half months as my husband still worked back home 2.5 hours from our new home. He stayed at my Mothers during the work days and came home for the other 3 days. I know you can and will make out just fine. Try to just be excited about this and not let all the fears get in the way.I lived in the city all my life with family near by, always had heat, water, windows etc. and boy what I went through only made me stronger. I didn't want this to sound self absorbed and hope it didn't. Just trying to say YOU CAN DO IT !!!!

Congrats on the expected new arrival and new home. It's so beautifull away from the city and we love it out here in farm land even with all the changes to our lives.
