I loved this CD! I know I have a bad habit, truly I am addicted and I need to work hard to change it. It won't be easy, but, we each need to be patient with ourselves and learn to nurture ourselves. I want to share an idea that has helped me. My therapist gave me this idea of a self nurturing kit. Get a fun box or make one and put some of your favorite things in it that you can go to that will be comforting when you are feeling down. Put something in it for each of the five senses. For me I have black licorice (Panda because it has molasses, not sugar) and that is a smell I love and taste I adore. Something cuddly like a big soft Teddy Bear or a throw for touch. A CD that I love and find relaxing for sound and pictures of my last vacation or notes from loved ones or a funny DVD. Wrap yourself up and comfort all five senses. She says if we keep these things in a box when we need them they will be there and we don't have to waste time looking for them. I hope this helps someone! I sure has me!

Hi Kispa,

Thanks for sharing! What a great idea for the comfort box. I'm doing this program because I have suffered with anxiety since I was a little kid and now my 10 year old is also suffering. She has been struggling for several years and I don't want her to have the same life I have had. This "box" is something I am going to share with her. She stays with her Dad every other weekend and it is very stressful for her because "home" is her safe place. This box should make her feel less anxious and comforted while she is away. Thank you again. I'll let you know how it works.
