I realized recently that because I'm such a people pleaser and would never want anyone upset with me, that I internalize everything which over a number of years has resulted in anxiety/panic. Yesterday, after someone told me some upsetting news, I was able to tell this person that I was upset. It felt great to say and my friend wasn't angry at me. I normally would've internalized the feelings I was having. This is HUGE for me.
