I have been out of the program for four years and have done great! I used to suffer from generalized anxiety with panic attacks. I now feel great except for when it comes to big stuff. Changes in my life always make me very anxious. The change that is geting ready to occur is a move. My husband and I are moving from a condo to a house. I know that my husband and I will be happy in the house but the idea of a "CHANGE" is so scary to me. I get so frustrated with myself because I can be fine for months, then a change in my life makes me so worried and anxious. Any advice out there?

Sure, for what it's worth because I'm brand new to the program, LOL.
Lucinda says in her From Panic to Power book that "everyone experiences anxiety to varying degrees, so you'll be relieved to know that you have something that everyone else has. What you do with your anxiety determines whether you will keep it under control or let it control you." I guess what I'm saying is, what you're feeling about the move is perfectly normal. Moving is a change! But try to look at it as an exciting new adventure, which it is. Best of luck to you in your new home ! Sue |

Thanks, Sue! I guess we get convinced that we are the only people who experience these stressful feelings. Your advice helped me get through the couple of nights in the new house. I experienced some tension, but I did not overract or panic. Thanks so much!!!
