I have just finished the program and am doing really well. YEAH! However the job I am at is not my line of work. I am now putting resumes out there so I can do what I like doing but I will have to drive about 25 miles to get to them. I know I have the skills to handle it but I am still having scarey thoughts. Thank God I have a job, which is only part time a block away from my house. But I want a job full time with benefits etc., maybe I am putting to much presure on myself. Plus we really need the money! Any suggetions would be greatly appreciated.

My advice is to take it one day at a time! Your first day on the job will be your hardest, but each day will be better. I just moved into a new house and was concerned to move away from "my safe place" for good. However, we have been in the house for over a week and a half now. I am still not 100% but each night I feel a little less uneasy.

You are going to have good days and bad days. A good rule of thumb is to try to keep your mind totally on your work. The more distracted you are with thinking about your thoughts--the worse you will feel. When you feel anxiety just practice your breathing, take a bathroom break and jump into another work task.

You will make it through this!!! Everyone with anxiety has switched jobs while grappling with this condition and everyone has made it through. You will make it too!

Thank you so much mccoy for your encouraging words. I have been checking for a response for awhile and nothing. Thank you for taking the time for me. I still haven't found a better job yet. I am trying not to get discouraged, I know that it will happen one of these days. I try not to think that it's me. I have sent out quite a few resumes and gotten some letters that say no opportunity for you at this time. I know I am qualified for these positions but I guess God has a better plan for me.
