I have just finished the last lesson and I still have bit of depression and find it hard being alone. I went to church this morning and worked out and it helped. I just don`t know why I seem to be afraid of being alone. It makes me think that I am giving in to the dark side. I fight this constantly and go out sometimes and have a few beers to take the edge off. I know that will only make it worst. Does anyone feel like this and do you have any suggestions. I try very hard to becoming spiritual and strong in faith, but that lonely feeling seems to have a grip on me. Help!!! P

Remember, it only takes 15 weeks to go thru the program. Give yourself time and go thru the program again. I have to listen to the tapes alot because there is so much to learn and it takes time to change bad habits. Keep moving forward. Reena

You are right, alcohol is not the answer. When you drink to ease the pain it lowers your self esteem. I went through the same thing a month or so ago where I was so afraid to be alone because of my thoughts. My fiance was even out of town for a week at the time so I had to deal with it. At time I would drink and make excuses about why, but the truth is I was trying to numb my feelings. Alcohol is not the answer. Are your thoughts scaring you? Are you afraid to face yourself? Try spending some quality time with yourself and get to know what you like, what your opinions are, take comfort in your spirituality. If you learn to enjoy time alone, you won't feel lonely anymore.

My two bits.
