Ok so, I just started session 8 even though theoretically I should be on session 11 by now. I spent alot more time on assertive behavior, yet I didn't do it everyday. I listen to my relaxation cd as often as I can, but I also am working alot. I do feel better than I have in along time because I also see a therapist, and a psychologist along with being on my meds. I have also lowered one of my medications from 100mg a day to 25mg per day! So, I feel like I am really making progress, but is it typical to start to back off of the material a little as you beging to feel better, or not spend a whole week on it? I still listen to the cd 2 or three times a week, but I guess I don't concentrate on it as much as I should. Any advice from anyone who know what I'm talking about? I just want to make sure I am still doing what I should be doing! I know I will never fully get over my anxiety because that's who I am, a person with an anxious personality. That's ok though because I am not a basketcase anymore I just have alot of energy! God bless you all!

I read a lot of "shoulds" in your posting and encourage you to substitute the word "could". You are working the program at your own pace and that is what you need. Your needs are the most important thing you have to take care of now. If you stay on one session longer or step back for a little time, it is all okay. You will move on when you're ready and not a moment sooner. Be gentle with yourself and try not to have such great expectations for yourself. Having high expectations for ourselves only results in undermining ourselves. The pace you are on now is the right pace for you.

Thanks. Your reply helped me also. I'm still stuck on a lesson. I want to be sure that I'm understanding it the way I should.
