Hi all,

I need a desperate answer to something that is reallllllly annoying me for the past 4 1/2 months. Sometimes when I am at work I notice my left ear getting reallly hot and the back of my neck getting warm. As I start to slow things down and relax, the heat goes away. Can anyone relate to this? Is this what they call a hotflash or is it something else. I try to place a search on Google but can't really find anything on warm ears. Is this related to stress/anxiety or something else. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Armond

From my experience-if you have no physical reason for ears/face/... turning red, feeling hot- it happens when our metabolism accelerates. Some people are more prone to it than others.

I have exerienced it - I might be sitting, working on something, and be thinking about something a bit stressful and I will feel warmer than normal - sort of like a hot flash, for those of you who can relate. Smiler

When I was younger I blushed very easily and could bring on a blush with my thoughts...I guess I'm too old or too wise for too much blushing anymore. Smiler

Rest easy, Carolyn

Oh my gosh! Yes! The same thing! My ear will suddenly feel like it's on fire, but just my ear nothing else. I never thought to mention it before, nor have I ever related it to stress or anxiety. Hmmmm. I don't know what it is, but if it helps, I so get that too!

I have gotten that, too!! I think mine is usually my right ear. I can feel it heat up and if I actually feel it with my hand, it is hot to the touch. It is also bright red when I look at it in a mirror. Kinda weird. Lasts for probably about 1/2 hour or so when it does it. So many little symptoms for us--it's a wonder we're even sane at all!!!
