...yourself to something special?
When I was in the worst part of my anxiety/panic and depression, I found that I had stopped really taking care of myself. If this sounds like you - well it's time to do something about it. Light a scented candle, give yourself a facial, buy that CD or blouse you had your eye on for a long time. WHY? You ask? Because YOU ARE SPECIAL AND DESERVE IT!!! Please share what you have done lately to treat yourself special Hugs, Calico |

Calico, it's actually kind of funny that you would bring that up today, because I did actually go and get myself something for the first time in months! When my panic first started in Aug. it was pretty horrible, so I ended up losing a LOT of weight. I have been walking around in baggy pants for the last couple of months, so today I decided enough is enough. I only bought one pair, but they're really cute, they fit and I am happy to have them. They're very comfy!

Hi Calico,
Thoughtful topic! Im sure most of the people-pleasers reading this topic are finding it difficult to post any reply, but trust your words are helping guide us toward paying attention to ourselves. Of all the replies I may think of, I thought to post something everyone may do for themselves that I found was a key first step toward taking more care of my self and treating my self more special: Today, I will let in my own patience, compassion, love and acceptance for myself no matter where I may find my self on the journey. I will let this in with every healthy food I choose to eat today. I may choose to change somewhat, but that does not mean I am not divine just the way I am! Yesterday as a matter of fact! It was a cute sweater!
I treat myself alot. I agree w/ you Calico. We are special and we do deserve it! I don't spend over 20 bucks a wk. on my treats which are usally CD's, unusual jewelry, has to be nature related, as I'm very naturelle!lol! and if I'm shopping I hit the sales racks! I work hard for my money! No longer a people-pleaser and proud of it! Diane
