I am new to this forum. I am on week ten of the program. My husband, myself and four children are moving back across the country from Florida to Kentucky. I am able to drive but drive with him in another car is to much. My inlaws are nice enough to come and drive one car so that my husband and I can drive the van. I am having a lot of anxiety about this trip. I want to go, I prefer to be in Ky than Florida. I seem to be a stand still in the program. I am having a lot of anxiety with this trip coming up.

Welcome to the forum! A move is anxiety producing for anyone. Remember that its ok to have anxiety about stuff but remind yourself also that this is somehting you want to do. Make a list of all the positives about moving and focus on those thoughts. Also use your breathing exercises whenever a negative thought pops in your head. You can do this, and you will be fine. Remember to float and relax but be determined to do what you want regardless of the anxiety. Also take care of yourself too. No time for neglect. Smiler

I've gotten to many points during the program where I was at a standstill too. I think it's the body's way of resisting change.

It sounds like moving to another state is something that you really want for yourself. It also sounds like no-one is pushing you into this move. Trust your feelings, your wants and your desires.

You'll be OK.

Take care, Tricia

My husband flew helicopters as a civilian...after Sept. 11th the Army asked for volunteer pilots to come in and help out. Not only was I moved from Nevada to Ky, I was now in the military with my husband in a dangerous job. Irrational worries...nah I believe they are rational. My point is....we did move...we are in the military..it's been two months and the panic is always lurking around the corner waiting for me. Keep up with your tapes even though time will be limited....don't give up. Look at the scenery, think of it as an adventure...and stop the negative thoughts. I know, easily said....I just try to picture that big red stop sign.

You'll do fine...and living in Fort Campbell, KY...you'll love the the beauty, and wildlife is if take the time to look.

Good luck and know your not alone....never alone.
