I can relate. I used to be very pride of my ability to multi task as well.
After I finished the program, I wanted to continue with this life lesson. I tried different directions. One of them was Yoga. To put it in a very simple term, Yoga is like an extension of our relaxation tape. You turn your attention to your own body. Instead of reading a book, you read your own breathe. Eventually, I am not afraid of boredom because it is not boredom, it is peace and contentment. I can allow myself to just sit. I am not really "doing nothing", I am directing my body to retune itself. Ok, it doesn't work every time. Most of the time I couldn't do it. I am still learning. But it is wonderful when I can achieve peace and calmness. drop |
