Are any of you aware of your 2ndary gain from your anxiety? I agree with all the folks on the tape...MY gain is attention. I need to work on that. Anyone overcome this? Any methods that worked would be a great help! Please share your stories!!!

Be well all

Ali

You say your gain is attention. Mine still is attention. I have just found more effective ways to get it other than making myself sick. Imagine staying healthy AND getting the attention you want. Like Lucinda says on the tapes... you ASK for it. I need a hug, I want to talk to you about something, would you mind going to the party without me tonight? I was unaware that I was meeting my need for attention to myself thru anxiety. There is a better way.
Be good to yourself, Ali!

I listened to the lesson again today and really HEARD Lucinda's words this time. WHat you said, I agree with...I must learn to be ASSERTIVE and ASK for what I need. I have a great husband and family and they are constantly supporting me in my endeavors. I LOVE this lesson. It really pulled it all together for me.

I am so jealous that you were part of the sessions with Lucinda. I wish there were more programs available for me here to have group sessions. For now the forum will suffice!

Thanks for always checking in on us who are still trying to find our way. Knowing your face and your story helps us more than you know!

Be Well!
